Jessica J. Lee joins the group as Guest Scientist and “Writer-in-Residence”, exploring the literary and scientific history of Großer Stechlinsee. She is a Canadian-Chinese-British author, scholar, and cold water swimmer. Her book, Turning: A Swimming Memoir (in German as Mein Jahr im Wasser), was published this year. She completed a doctorate in environmental history in 2016 and is partially supported by a postdoctoral fellowship from the Rachel Carson Center for Environment and Society at LMU Munich.
